CHRONO TRIGGER (SNES – 1995)

💚 Life Forge Top 16 💚

DOOM (PC | PS4 | Xbox One – 2016)

WARCRAFT III : THE FROZEN THRONE (PC – 2003)

💚 Life Forge Top 16 💚

SUPER MARIO KART (SNES – 1992)

#16. CALL OF DUTY : BLACK OPS (PC | PS3 | Xbox 360 | Wii – 2010)

Call of Duty has given us so many great shooters. How do you begin to pick one?

Well, we didn’t. We gave you two and this edged out MW. So enjoy. It’s #16.

#15. FALLOUT : NEW VEGAS (PC | PS3 | Xbox 360 – 2010)

All hail the post-apocalyptic western.

The world may have gone to shit but Casinos are alive and well. Nuff said.

#14. SUPER MARIO WORLD (SNES – 1990)

💚 Life Forge Top 16 💚

For me, Super Mario World is the pinnacle of Mario platformers.

Apparently you didn’t think it was too shabby either as it’s our #14 slot.

Castles, Yoshi, Haunted Houses, Secret Levels, Star World…this game had it all.

#13. THE LEGEND OF ZELDA : OCARINA OF TIME (N64 – 1998)

💚 Life Forge Top 16 💚

In your number 13 slot is The Legend of Ze..HEY, LISTEN!

Shut up Navi.

The Legend of Zeld..HEY, LISTEN!

Yeah, I heard you the first time. The Legend of Zelda : Oca..HEY, LISTEN!

Okay F*%# this, on to #12

#12. DUCK HUNT (NES – 1984)

Splattering water fowl all over the damn meadow has never been quite as rewarding as it was in Nintendo’s Duck Hunt for the NES.

And our dog pal here was even nice enough to gather the bodies…good boy.

#11. THE ELDER SCROLLS III : MORROWIND (PC | Xbox – 2002)

Few non-MMO RPGs can compete with the Morrowind sandbox.

Bethesda drops you in Vvardenfel and says have a nice life make of our game what you will.

It’s kind of nice…

#10. WORLD OF WARCRAFT : WRATH OF THE LICH KING (PC – 2008)

 💚 Life Forge Top 16 💚

World of Warcraft is another title where there have been so many great expansions that it’s hard to choose just one, but for us it would have to be WOTLK.

Ice coated Northrend was the antithesis to Outland that we needed.

And with the addition of the Death Knight (bless you Blizzard for not making me start at lvl 1) it seemed our groups would never long for tanks again (sure, let me hop on my DK).

#9. DONKEY KONG COUNTRY (SNES – 1994)

Will we ever grow tired of two monkeys riding in mine carts, collecting bananas, and bouncing on baddies?

No. No, we won’t. And Donkey Kong Country showed us why.

Not to mention it introduced us to the now beloved Diddy Kong.

#8. ARKHAM CITY (PC | PS3 | Xbox 360 – 2011)

 💚 Life Forge Top 16 💚

The crown jewel of the Arkham series, Arkham City is as close as Batman has ever come to perfection in video game form (though other games in the series aren’t far behind).

Yes, gliding around Gotham, bad ass bat gadgets, and oh yeah…THE FUCKIN’ BATMOBILE.

#7. DOOM (PC | PS – 1993)

 💚 Life Forge Top 16 💚

Doom helped set the standard and grow popularity in the first person shooter genre. Is there really anything else we need to say?

How about Demons on Mars.

Fin.

#6. COUNTER-STRIKE (PC – 2000)

In a world blanketed by sub par shooters, CS definitely stands out.

The concept is simple but the work together Terrorist/Counter-Terrorist mantra of the game modes made it fun and memorable.

And to think it all started as a Half-Life mod.

#5. THE ELDER SCROLLS V : SKYRIM (PC | PS3 | Xbox 360 – 2011)

 💚 Life Forge Top 16 💚

The second Elder Scrolls game to make our list, Skyrim has everything that could make a fantasy RPG awesome.

A bounty of unique characters races (viking, lizard, cat – take your pick) each with unique powers and a plethora of perks to be had at each level to fit any type of play style you choose.

The Bob Ross scenery certainly doesn’t hurt either.

#4. LEAGUE OF LEGENDS (PC – 2009)

 💚 Life Forge Top 16 💚

Rioter’s fear not. We bring you your #4, League of Legends.

One of the many MOBA’s to follow in the style of Defense of the Ancients / Aeon of Strife and Riot arguably did it and still does it best of them all.

You don’t become the most played online game by accident.

#3. TONY HAWK’S PRO SKATER (PS – 1999)

 💚 Life Forge Top 16 💚

Drop into the half-pipe, number three on your Top 16 Video Games list is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.

This game was skateboarding perfection. And for us part of that is due to one word. Warehouse.

It may have been the first level, but that didn’t keep us from always ending up there for that game of H.O.R.S.E. (sub profanity)

#2. WARCRAFT II : BNE (PC – 1999)

 💚 Life Forge Top 16 💚

In a close second is Warcraft II : Battle.Net Edition. For us this is the game that started our Blizzard addiction. It drew us into the world and had us playing for hours on end.

Remember there are two types of people in this world…those who GoW and those who BGH, which are you?

#1. ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON (PC – 1999)

💚 Life Forge Top 16 💚

Hands up for your #1 video game, it’s Rollercoaster Tycoon!

Cuz there’s nothing quite as satisfying as not completing a track and watching your coaster car flying thru the air.

But seriously, who wouldn’t love building the amusement park of their dreams.
